Refund & Cancellation
Last updated: 2025-11-01
1. Overview
This policy explains eligibility for refunds on course fees published in JPY. Consumer rights under Japanese law, including the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions where applicable, are respected.
2. Cooling-Off Period
For distance contracts, you may cancel within 14 days of purchase without stating a reason, provided the course has not started and digital materials have not been substantially accessed.
3. Full Refund Conditions
Full refunds apply when we cancel a cohort, when you cancel within the cooling-off window, or when a documented technical failure on our side prevents participation for more than 48 hours cumulatively.
4. Partial Refunds
If you withdraw after the course starts but before 25% of scheduled sessions, a partial refund of 50% may apply minus an administrative fee of ¥5,000. After 25% completion, tuition is non-refundable except as required by law.
5. Non-Refundable Items
Third-party exam fees, optional coaching packages purchased separately, and completed intensive modules after the attendance threshold are non-refundable.
6. Request Process
Email hello@focussystem.digital with your enrollment ID, course name, and reason. We respond within five business days with a decision and timeline.
7. Processing Time and Method
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method. Bank transfer refunds may require additional verification for JP accounts.
8. Cohort Transfers
You may request a one-time transfer to a later cohort at no extra charge if requested at least 10 days before start. Transfers after start are subject to seat availability only.
9. Exceptions
Force majeure events may lead to rescheduling instead of refunds. We will offer reasonable alternatives before applying this section.
